Todd Donery was born in a time and place where there was a

definite line drawn between those on the inside and those on the

outside: Selma, Alabama in October of 1967. Todd identified with

those on the outside and idolized those who could express

what it was like to look in. Todd spent  his childhood far from

Selma in Minnesota looking for the instrument that he could use

to share what was inside of him, and in his senior year of high

school he found photography. Todd realized that he needed to

pursue a life in the arts, so in 1986 he enrolled at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and later at the Minneapolis Community College Film Program.

   Todd continued to photograph for bands and for his own artistic expression, but then there came a time that the camera stayed in its bag more often than not. Finally in August of 2011, Todd decided that he could no longer deny his passion to show the world his photographic vision, so he left his job as a Purchasing Manager and began his pursuit of an Associate’s degree in Photography and Digital Imaging at the Minneapolis Community Technical College. Todd is ready to share all that he has to offer.
